Rare Vintage 1940's Black Boucle Wool Formal Overcoat. Custom Tailored by Armstrong Clothiers, Cedar Rapids. An elegant and fascinating coat cut from the thickest, most glossy mohair boucle wool on earth. Wide lapel with buttonhole for boutinere. Sleeves are cuffed and pockets have jazzy flaps. Totally lined in black satin. Long walking slit in the back with half belt styling. Shoulder padded. Slightly tapered to torso, not a bulky fitter but a slim coat. Double-breasted with big flat buttons. Interior satin lining has a couple of holes near hem. The velvet lining of pockets has lost its nap. The coat is in excellent condition.
Size: Small. Coat measures 40" around chest. Center of back neckline to cuff-end, 36 1/4" long. lenght 46" 1/2" long.
