Rare Early 1900's Two Piece Tailcoat.
By J. Hoare & Co. Tag contains hand-written name in ink and addresses in London and Paris. This is an exquisite formal tuxedo set. Custom tailored using medium weight wool in midnight black. Fully lined in matching cotton blend. Blazer features long coat tails with set of decorative buttons covered in checkered fabric. Closes at center front with single cuff link style button. Cuffs have triple working buttons. Lapped inset chest pocket. Fish mouth collar contains buccaneer buttonhole. Lining features padded stitching and cotton ticking sleeve lining. Pleated trousers feature all-button fly and full set of inside suspender buttons and four pockets plus coin pocket. Ebony ribbon down legs. Set in excellent condition.
