Vintage late 1800's/turn of century black velvet sun bonnet is a rare & beautiful find. Velvet shell with silky black cotton blend lining & thick silk ribbon straps. Thin strip of brocade like trim on brim. Gathered back with semi elastic string. Lovingly stitched by hand & machine. Minor scuffs & tears in ties don't detract from the beauty of this amazing piece.
