Russian Renaissance Court Wedding Gown

One of a kind rare Renaissance custom designed and sewn wedding dress; a replica of a dress worn at court weddings by the Imperial Family of Russia in the second half of the 19th century. Historical book shows the wedding dress on the front "The Russian Style" (1976) edited by Jacqueline Onassis with the cooperation of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Photograph of dress isn't completed yet. Rare dress is of cream satin with a fitted bodice that ends in a point at the waist in the front and the back. Jewel/round neckline. Hanging sleeves that are 26" from shoulder to sleeve hem, attached skirt is pleated. Hidden zipper down center back with hook and eye closures as well. Accentuated with pearls around the neckline and bodice at waistline dips/points. Additional embellishment consists of golden thread appliques and pearls. The long train is 9.5 feet from the waist to the end and 6' at widest point. Attached skirt is 39" from waist to hem or 55.5" from back of neck to hem. Train has pearled looped handle to wear around wrist at reception. Great condition.
